Chandraghanta is the third form of Goddess Durga.
On the third day of Navratri, the third Power (Shakti) of Goddess Durga is worshipped.
This avatar of Goddess Durga is known and worshipped as Ma Chandraghanta (Mother Chandraghanta).
Her forehead is bedecked with the crescent moon (Hindi: Chandra) resembling the shape of a temple bell Her name Chandra-Ghanta, means "one who has a half-moon shaped like a bell.
Her third eye is always opened and she always ready for war against demons".
She is also known as Chandrakhanda, Chandika or Rannchandi.the sound of the moon-bell on her forehead expel all type of spirits away from her devotees.
